I got nowhere on The Lincoln Highway, even though I stepped out on it with high hopes. I was delightfully trapped with A Gentleman in Moscow as soon as the Metropol's revolving door starting bringing the world to him! I loved that this aristocrat's "crime" was a poem! Towles' first book, Rules of Civility, kept my interest but not my heart.
